This scrumptious, scrappy quilt was made with columns of chevrons, pieced with 2.5" strips. Holly then quilted it with variegated thread, walking next to the seams. She backed it with a Hungry Caterpillar themed fabric, and bound it with a solid purple. 

What makes this quilt successful

Holly used a huge variety of scraps, with lots of pattern. This could have quickly become too busy, but Holly navigated this challenge by separating the scraps into cool and warm sections. That, paired with the extremely simple and pleasing chevron design, makes this quilt an example of effective scrap-quilting.

- Excellence: You can expect pure white backgrounds, accurately calibrated colors, even lighting, perfectly square flat-on shots, and sharply focused details.
